Convergence culture is the flow of information from cross platforms and mediums that help initiate discussion on popular culture, entertainment, etc. Convergence culture is where people come together to discuss topics of interest in virtual communities, share ideas and have debates on things they like about certain topics on shows, movies, comics, games, etc. This form of discussion allows people to express themselves amongst people that share similar interests as they do, even if they live half way around the world. Jenkins believes that convergence culture is a positive form of expressionism that allows people to dig deeper into pop culture and keeps people interested in media programs as well as certain advertisements.
Creative engagement is the ability of users to create content, to participate in open discussion without centralized control over the discourse. This is a key component to convergence culture because unlike most of society governed by rules and stipulations, it's unregulated, uncensored, which inspires people to communicate to others, and those others to listen to what they're communicating. It's the part of society that doesn't label us for expressing who we are, or critique us for being different. That notion is the heart of creative engagement.

Online Consumer Behavior
1. Netflix could be considered a Longtail because it features a lot of the top feature films that you can get at any store at the same time they offer a long list of independent films and homemade films which seems to go on and on like a Longtail. It also has many different genre's with dozens' of films in each category which relates to tailoring personal tastes. And the relatively cheap cost of getting a film on Netflix is another trait associated with Longtails.
2. I would consider myself a "sportster" because most of my online activity involves looking at sports related things, whether its ESPN, NFL Network, sites of that nature I'm constantly looking at news in the Sports World. That also pertains to shopping, I'm always looking at sports paraphernalia constantly browsing sites with that sort of stuff. Dont' spend a much time browsing other sites, or spend it shopping online. Not and end to end commerce, nor devoted to good deals. But sometimes I feel like I linger into the surfer category because sometimes I like to browse random sites via stumbleupon.com and find interesting things on the web.

New Media and Technology
http://www.multichannel.com/news/technology/sony-playstation-vue-launches-three-markets/388934
This article is about Sony introducing the Playstation Vue which will bring you TV to your game console. You now no longer need a cable box or cable wire to enjoy TV, and that is revolutionary. This will change the way people view not just TV or cable but the way we look at media. This article shows where the TV viewing is headed. With this technology being available for game consoles who's the say that the internet isn't going to a make a run at this type of cord cutting service?

Information and Networks
1. I would have to agree most with Reed's law because social networks seem to be the medium online that's going to keep going up. With everything that social media can offer and connect to, your chances of meeting new people or expanding your own personal network are almost a guarantee. Social networks aren't just a place to chat with your friends or keep up with old one's, its becoming an outlet for finding groups that have similar interests to you. You can like particular products, sports teams, businesses through social networks, and you can see who else likes them to and can friend particular people that you have a lot in common with. You can connect with other websites through Facebook and Twitter and expand your networks through that. Social networks are the ultimate key to connecting with dozen's of different groups and expanding your connections.
2. Well to springboard off my answer to the first question it will be social networks, social networks will be the main source of getting information in five years. With the concepts of trending and buzzing being quite the commodity now a days, information will be accessible through people's tweets and Facebook statuses. And with all the sites that are directly linked to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter you could find information by linking your Facebook or Twitter account to other information providers. Their will come a point where it would be faster to check your Facebook or Twitter for information you are looking for than typing something into a search engine. Not trying to say Google will become obsolete because it's obvious the most powerful tool on the web but rather Google adopting a social network aspect to their brand. Social networks are the key to the future, as we get closer and closer to the internet revolution, if were not already there.
